In 2020, Covid-19 evidenced the necessity of ensure a good quality air in our buildings. The first measure that most of our governments took, for example in order to grant that quality air in our classrooms was simply an order to maintain the windows opened. It is obvious this measure opposes completely to the idea of energy efficiency, revealing the importance of having a intelligent ventilations systems which ensure a healthy spaces and energy efficiency.

This model has been created by the students to research purposes on this matter, looking for a testing model in which other student will be able to conduct experiments and improvements.

Its main goal is to create an Arduino based ventilation system model, based on reliable data of co2 levels and an autonomous fan speed control.

Calibrated to ensure a healthy quality air, the ventilation system will adjust the fans speed in order to regulate the air flow depending on the current CO2 levels inside the classroom/model.

In addition, a screen and 3 colours coded LEDs will inform us about the actual co2 levels and quality air status.

This Model has been developed fulfilling the defined TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS for the models in the EDUTRANS PROJECT.
